Mariette Lydis (1894-1970)
She is best known for her subtle drawings of
feminine beauty. Her preferred media were pencil drawings, etchings and
aquatints. Lydis has illustrated many limited book luxury editions, including works
by Charles Baudelaire and Pierre Louÿs.
